Huge relief for the Upper East Regional hospital as Adonko Bitters Company donates to fight Covid-19


The Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga has received a huge relief in the fight against Covid-19 as Adonko Bitters Company Limited, donates some items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to help in the fight against the spread of Covid-19 in the Upper East region.

In a brief ceremony held at the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga, the Director of Special Project at the company Mr. Asamoah Gyamfi said the gesture is his outfit’s contribution towards the fight against the pandemic.

He explained that, the fight against Covid-19 is a collective responsibility and therefore must not be left for the government alone to fight thus as Adonko Bitters company’s corporate social responsibility, they have to be involved in the Covid-19 fight.

Meanwhile, the Ag. Medical Director for the Upper East Regional Hospital, Dr. Samuel Aborah could not hide his joy over the donation by Adonko Bitters company and explained that, Personal Protective Equipments also known as PPEs has always being running out of stock due to the fact that most of them are not reusable, however the presentation by the Adonko Bitters company limited is a lifesaver to the hospital.

The company donated five hundred (500) pieces of hand sanitizers, one thousand (1,000) pieces of nose masks and hundred and twenty (120) rolls of tissue paper to the facility.
